We are constantly bombarded with adverts from the PC manufactures
saying that we can buy a computer for less and less, this does bring some meaning
to the above statement, but it is worth noting the following points:
- How much value do you put on the information that you have stored on your old computer
as this will not be on the new one. This includes your email and address book.
- You will have to spend a very long time setting up a new / erased computer to get
it back to how you had it, typically you will have to:
- Have you just got a new computer?
- Not sure how to set it up?
- Want your old email and internet settings on the new computer?
- Want your old files on your new computer?
Let Dayba get it running and set up for you. Click

- find the all the disks that came with it
- install all the programs you used,
- setup the internet connection, (remembering all the settings and passwords,)
- set up email, (again having to remember the settings and passwords,)
- connect the PC into your home network, (if you have more than one pc sharing the
internet or printers,)
- setup printers, cameras and other hardware,
- re-download all the patches and fixes that you have applied since the you got the
PC,
- Often the drivers for printer's modems etc that worked with an old computer won't
work with the new one, even though Windows XP is very good at working with old hardware.
- Throwing a modern computer away could be akin to scrapping a car just because its
tyres are worn out
On balance when you add all of the above factors into the mix it is often cheaper/
easier to fix the cause of the problem than buying a new PC.
At Dayba we can assess what is wrong with your PC and either recommend, fixing it,
upgrading certain bits or buying a new one. We have no problems with you buying
PCs from big manufactures and can assist you in choosing the right PC if you wish. Naturally we would prefer it if you bought a pc from us, but our
priority is to ensure that you have the right PC.
