  • Your computer runs slowly.
  • Your internet connection is very slow or always in use, even when you are not doing anything on the internet or when you are just reading a web page/ email.
  • It crashes or locks up for no reason. (Note: Windows 98 does this even when there is nothing wrong.)
  • Windows start appearing / popping up for no apparent reason.
  • Extra toolbars appear in Internet Explorer.
